The David Deans Skincare Moisture Therapy cream provides a rich blend of natural antioxidants, essential fatty acids, intense moisturisation and a boost to collagen synthesis.  Each ingredient is supported by scientific research and is shown independently to help relieve dry, red, inflamed and damaged skin caused by a variety of symptoms.  This cream is water-based, free of alcohols, fragrances, aluminium and steroids.

Key ingredients of this products are:

Sea Buckthorn - Modern research demonstrates great potential for Sea Buckthorn in burn relief due to its extremely high profile of vitamins (A, B1, B2, C, D, E, K, P), phytochemicals, carotenoids, amino acids, polyphenols, minerals (including zinc) and flavonoids. It is the only known plant containing all essential fatty acids; omega 3, 6, 7 and 9. High concentrations of omega-7 are of particular interest, stimulating epithelisation (healing of epidermis) by micro-circulation modulation. While no studies currently exist for Sea Buckthorn’s efficacy in the treatment of radiation-induced skin conditions, its profile reveals great promise. Sea Buckthorn is well known in Chinese medicine, it is used to treat radiation burns in their astronauts and was also a popular treatment in the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The published literature cites strong anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Sea Buckthorn for relief of eczema, dermatitis and burns.

Hyaluronic Acid - This natural moisturiser with a water binding capacity 1000 times its own weight, is found in almost every cell of the body. It plays a vital role in wound healing via the skin structure, promoting cellular communication and organisation of new cell growth. It has been shown to induce collagen synthesis by activating fibroblasts and helps organise collagen structural deposits when applied topically.

Beta Glucan - Beta glucan is a natural polysaccharide which stimulates the immune response. Within the dermal layer it activates the innate immune system (especially macrophages) to consume damaged tissues and encourage wound healing. Evidence indicates that macrophages encourage re–epithelisation and stimulation of granulation tissue in the construction of the new dermal extracellular matrix. Beta Glucan contributes to the healing process and regeneration of new cells.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 - is a chain of amino acids that has the ability to mimic TGF-1β. When TGF-1β is present in the skin it induces a biological response in synthesising collagen and elastin proteins (helps rebuild the skin via cellular communication).

Aloe Vera - Aloe Vera has been used for centuries for health, beauty and medicinal purposes. It contains an abundance of vitamins, enzymes, and essential fatty acids, which nourish and support the skin.

  • “I had six weeks of daily radiation treatment. The hospital covered half my breast with a protective plastic film, I used David Deans Moisturising Cream on the other half. During and after treatment, the side where I applied David Deans Cream was much less dry and not as itchy or discoloured.  The hospital did not approve, however I told them it was my choice to trial the product. The nurse who checked my skin every three days said the condition of the side treated with Moisturising Cream was better than average. I had heard horror stories about radiation burning but with the protection and nourishment of the cream, my skin stayed supple and moist throughout treatment.  I would strongly recommend the use of Moisturising Cream in Oncology and Radiation Units.” Barbara Zougha

"I was fortunate enough to be given a tube of Moisture Therapy Cream when I went to purchase a bra from a local mt gambier business. I began using it 2 weeks before treatment started. Some of the women I met at Greenhill Lodge who were only using sorbelene , had horrific burns to their skin. Very unsettling! But after 4 weeks of radiation, using David Deans Moisture Therapy Cream as well, I had NO burning! I’d like to say a HUGE thank you for this product. And to the lovely ladies who gave me this product to try. Highly recommended! !! Tracey Allen

My nine year old son has chronic eczema all over his legs, arms and hands and after using numerous other products, recently tried David Deans Moisture Therapy Cream.  The improvement in the condition of his skin is amazing. It is soothed, it is less red and the itching has stopped. He said ‘Mum that doesn’t sting at all.’ Previously everything he tried has hurt, which made ongoing use very difficult. However he is very happy to apply Moisture Therapy Cream regularly.  I would totally recommend this fantastic product to any eczema sufferers. Thank you David Deans! “ Julie King

“I have used the Moisturising Cream throughout my radiation and chemotherapy treatments.  This cream has really helped to moisturise my dry skin, relieving the discomfort and inflammation.  It has certainly helped to make my ordeal more bearable.”  Diedre Watts

“I suffered quite a bad burn on my arm at home, but was not helped by what the Pharmacist prescribed. The recommended product stung badly and made me even more uncomfortable. However, the next day my Beautician introduced me to David Deans’ Moisturising Cream. I got instant relief and healing was rapid, with very little scarring. My Doctor was impressed too!” Kym Robertsen

“I was very fortunate to be given some David Deans Moisturising Cream for my fingers. Not burns from radiation admittedly, but rather burns from an accident involving electricity and the rings on my fingers! The burns were quite deep and very painful, but diligent application of Moisturising Cream has healed the fingers completely with absolutely no sign of infection or scarring.” Alex Shute

“The radiation treatment resulted in extreme irritation and itchiness over the upper half of my body. I have been using Moisture Therapy Cream and Hydrating Soothing Cream for about a month and my skin is less dry and flaky, the red rash is much reduced and I am a whole lot more comfortable. I would highly recommend to others undergoing radiation therapy.” Rosie Guerro

“I am currently using this cream while undergoing Radiation Therapy, and it has been remarkable. The burns are nothing like they were the last time I underwent treatment. It just feels so much better.  My wife even used this cream on a kitchen burn, and within two days the burn was healed. Really amazing product.”  Mark Thompson

“I would like to thank you for this wonderful cream, I have had eczema and very dry skin now for a few years and I have been using prescription creams but they haven’t cleared the dry skin and eczema like the Moisturising Cream has, after 7 days the dry skin has gone and so has the eczema, my skin feels great and not itchy at all. I have been, and will continue to recommend this cream to all my friends. It is a blessing!”  Sheree Mcallister

“While cooking, I burnt my knuckle badly. The burn became infected and the wound re-opened every time I bent my finger. In a lot of pain, I began to use the sample of Moisturising Cream I had received at a charity event. Two days later the redness was gone, the pain was significantly reduced and after five days the wound was completely healed. I am sure this product would be a ‘must-have’ for anyone undergoing radiation therapy!” Paul Johnston

“As promised, I’m writing to inform you of the effect of the Moisture Therapy Cream containing Sea Buckthorn, which you so kindly provided. Since I had previously undergone 30 radiation treatments on my other breast, it was easy to compare the difference. This course of radiotherapy was followed by chemotherapy, which I did not have previously. "I used your cream immediately following radiation, and whenever necessary to provide relief. l also took CoQ10 150mg/day. Approximately 3-4 weeks into treatment my skin started to bubble on my chest and the lymph node suture line began to break down, as well as the skin underneath the breast. l was prescribed Eleuphrat Cream 0.05% for these areas and Hydrocortisone cream 1% for remaining areas of breast. l applied these twice daily. I also continued to use Moisture Therapy Cream as it is very soothing and more effective than Vitamin E cream. The suture line became very sore and l always applied your cream as it provided immediate comfort." Julie McGee

“I received terrible burns on my last dose of treatment and for days, I wasn't able to sleep - the pain and discomfort was so bad. After my first application of Moisture Therapy Cream I felt instant relief and finally got some sleep. A wonderful product.” Sue Fitzgerald
